The New Testament writers say that Satan “blinds” the hearts and minds of those who don’t believe. What does this mean? The nature of a supernatural gospel requires a supernatural response. Our hearts are either changed by God’s grace, or hardened to reject the gospel. Those who reject are said to have been blinded by the god of this world, Satan, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel and the glory of Christ.
